Give Me Liberty, Please

Give Me Liberty Of London at MAC is out and I'm in love. The packaging is marvelous. The hues are perfect for spring! Everything you need, if you couldn't pick it up in the Spring Forecast collection, is here. There are pinks, coral, lavenders, and cream. I'm drooling at the sound of it.

It reminds me a bit of the show on BBC Life On Mars.Which if you haven't seen, I suggest you Netflix, rent, or 'borrow from the internet'(wink wink). The show is thought provoking, sentimental, and funny. It reminds me of it because:
1. Its British 2. It is based in 1970's.

It is also borderline something my grandma would have in her clutch, and I like that. Its vintage, funky, and fresh all at the same time. Just what we need to get out of the gloom and doom of winter. I would be snatching these up, but I'm saving for me and my boyfriends big cruise in the Caribbean next week!! If you pick these have fun and get ready for a beautiful spring!

Price Breakdown and Sale of Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners at Ulta

SALE SALE ....sale?

What does Deluxe size mean though?? I have been doing a lot of research and crunching the numbers and something doesn't quite add up...

Fill Weight and Pricing:
Regular Full Size: $17.00; 1.2g
Duo Set: $24.00 ($12.00 each); 1.2g each
Hi-Fi, Mildew, or Stereo Set: $20.00($4 for each item) 4 eyeliners and a small glitter liner; 0.8g in ea. eyeliner
Super Stash: $36.00 ($4 each); 0.5g
Deluxe size: ??? No information on the amount in the pencil, I think it is a bit bigger than travel but smaller than a full size. This may have been a special deal just with Ulta.

Each set has different eyeliner colors in them. So I cant give you what the best 'deal' is because it is really up to what you like and what you are looking for. I can start dissecting it down by how much it costs per gram in each eyeliner but in the end we are going to buy what we like. The sets are a great way to start your collection though and they do offer the best prices as well.

The downside of this 'deluxe size' sale is that you cannot pick which two colors that you can get with your order and they are NOT FULL SIZE. My thoughts are that Ulta/Urban Decay are trying to wrangle in new customers with giving out two colors like Electric (bright teal) paired with a normal color like Bourbon (brown). This is smart because they can create a new fan base by attracting people to things they normally wouldn't try. Plus, (tricky tricky) they know true Urban Decay addicts have a haaard time just buying $20.00 worth of product.

This is actually a good deal if you haven't tried many of their products. The eyeliners actually are amazing. I loooove love love the...Deluxe Eyeshadows (ironically this is just the name of them, has nothing to do with the size of them). I highly recommend them. They apply very smoothly with minimal to no clumping at all.

Any color you receive as your 'free' gift is going to be good(unless you don't want a bright teal liner, then you can gift it). Keep in mind though, if you do get a bright color you might not like, you can do so many things with it!

This is what Urban Decay has to say about their own 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils:

The best Eye Pencil ever, ever, ever! Never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge. Line eyes with a hint of color or go for the full artistic, multi-hued effect with the wide selection of lush tropical hues, deep metallics and unusually vibrant neutrals. Incredible with Urban Decay Eyeshadows!
Created with 50% moisturizing ingredients suspended in a sophisticated waterproof formula, 24/7 Eye Pencils offer long-lasting color and a dreamy, creamy feel when applied. With Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil.
Tips: 24/7 Eye Pencils are ideal for lining inner lids because the waterproof formula stays put. Just apply, try not to blink for a sec, and you’ve got immovable liner.

A bit arrogant if you ask me, but I guess they can have that attitude for as much praise these get from beauty magazines.

So, good luck and shop wisely!

D'Lilac is Delovely

I was trying to come up with a look for my D'Lilac lipstick. I was thinking maybe a pale lavender with a dark almost black cut crease. But I went with this one. To kind of show the versatility of the lipstick...if that's possible. I think you are either going to wear this stuff or you arnt.

So my eyebrows are kinda crazy in this last picture. I cleaned them up after. They grow so fast on me. I swear they should be taking my genes for testing to make hair growth for men products! ;)

Eyes: Inner corner:
            Ben Nye:Teal
            Calypso Minerals: Popstar (blue)
            Calypso Minerals: Kryptonite(reflects green)
          Outer Corner:
            Calypso Minerals: Tramp (purple)
            MAC: Nocternelle
          Liner:
            Maybelline: Waterproof liquid black
            Urban Decay: Metalhead(purple glitter liner)
            MAC: Feline on waterline
Face: MAC: Studio Tech
Lips: Lime Crime: D'Lilac

ALSO, this next picture was taken 4.5hours later after going to the store annnnd a nap! Honestly, I didn't retouch it once after I took these pictures!! and yeah I just started to take off my makeup when I realized this. ;)

Soooo, Its not all Lime Crime Lipsticks. Coming up I will he reviewing some haircare products, face wash, roll on perfumes. I also want to start comparing different brands to one another. High end compared to drug store kind of thing.

If anyone has any request of brands to compare or anything you want me to review, let me know!

LimeCrime Lipsticks and Customer Service

I'm so excited! Guess what came in the mail the other day?!?! My Lime Crime Lipsticks!

I do have to start off with a funny fact: I only ordered these after I complained to Lime Crime about their makeup.

I bought six eye shadows from them about a year ago. I got them when they were still in the tiny small pots. I was so upset that now you get double the amount for the same amount of money. I wrote them an email. I included my previous order information in it as well as my concerns. And you know what? I was really impressed!

They got back to me THE SAME DAY! Which was crazy. I was expecting to wait about a month. Mark, in charge of customer service, was really nice and offered a great amazing deal on lipsticks to restore my faith in their company. I ordered 4 lipsticks that same day. From the day I wrote the email to the day I received them it took 7days! Not to shabby.

They are even better in person than in photos. Speaking of which...

From Left to Right: Countessa Flourescent, Great Pink Planet, D'Lilac, No She Didn't

Lipsticks: $16.00 each

http://www.limecrimemakeup.com/

They are so smooth and easy to apply. Amazingly creamy, not drying at all. They are opaque, which I'm in love with because it is so easy to just put gloss over it to get a different look...well, I don't know how much of a different look you can make out of blue or purple lips but you get what I mean.

I saw some reviews that 'one swipe of the product, and it is all you need'. I don't have red lips by any means and I would say it took my (with a lip clear primer on) three swipes on the lips to get full coverage. The lipstick is very pigmented don't get me wrong but to get a nice and even look, it didn't take 'one swipe'. They stay on for a long time. I went about 3hours before I needed a touch-up, but that's because I started drinking.

*Fun Tip: if you're at a party, you will always know which glass is yours!*

They smell absolutely amazing! Like a very light vanilla. Some people have said they smell like MAC lipstick, I do agree but I think these are a bit stronger but defiantly NOT overwhelming!

I would recommend to anybody who loves color and wants to put a smile or a confused look, on someones face.

I will put a look together for each color. As tribute to Lime Crime,  my eye makeup is  Duchess for the blue and Medusa for the dark outer corner. Along with a few other tricks up my sleeve. I'm absolutely in love. My friend told me that these lipsticks are "110% Katy" I would hope to think so.

** I bought these product with my own money and these opinions are just from lil' old me. We may just have to agree to disagree sometimes ;)
